Can I use Thermal EG (fluid) for applications?
No, you cannot. Do not use Thermal EG for applications with contact to aluminum components! Over time the aluminum will corrode due to exposure to the ethylene glycol. If you have an aluminum application please contact me or Mark to discuss alternate fluid solutions.
Note: we can source a pre-diluted EG from our supplier that has an aluminum friendly additive.
JULABO TCUs with external Pt100 sensor capability provide temperature control and monitoring from a location in the application. JULABO TCUs utilize 4-wire Pt100 sensors and we highly recommend shielded wiring. We offer a range of Pt100 sensors with 6mm and ¼” OD and various lengths in 316 SS and PTFE coated SS. Please contact your account manager if you need a custom size or a sensor made from Hastelloy. If you provide your own sensor we have a connector (8980131) which, when soldered, connects to the Lemosa port on your JULABO TCU.
