The typical fluid shelf life is five years, but it depends on the application. JULABO Crystal will help you determine whether your fluid is expired and how it may be affecting your equipment.

JULABO Crystal analyzes fluid to determine:

  • Viscosity
  • Oxidation
  • Silicone & Potassium
  • Water content including the presence of Iron, Chromium, Copper, Tin, Lead, Aluminum, Magnese, Titanium & Vanadium
  • The presence of additives such as: Calcium, Sodium,Magnesium, Potassium, Zinc, Molybdenum & Boron

Crystal clear, easy process

Order your kit based on your fluid sample size. We have kits available to analyze 1, 2 or 6 samples. When you receive the kit, collect the fluid sample(s) from your JULABO temperature control unit using the kit guidelines. Send the samples back to JULABO. We’ll test the fluids and send you our findings and recommendations within 6 days.
