I am getting a “warning” message on my PRESTO reminding me to check my unit’s safety. What does this mean?

At regular intervals, a PRESTO will display operator messages reminding you to check safety-relevant parts. These “warnings” are preventive only. Press “OK” to acknowledge the message. The unit will automatically program the next reminder at the manufacturer’s recommended interval listed below. Pressing “CANCEL” will clear the message, but it will reappear the following day(s) until it is acknowledged.

Frequency for recurring operator message:

• Safety potentiometer test: 6 Months
• Inspection of hoses and pipes: Annually
• Check of the fill level indicator: Annually
